Château Paloumey – Haut Médoc 2016 Vintage

30,00

45% Merlot und 55%  Cabernet Sauvignon 13% Alkohol

On the palate, this wine expresses notes of mushy/juicy blackcurrant, blackberry and, to a lesser extent, cherry, combined with hints of mushy/fresh blueberry and subtle hints of licorice, cocoa and coffee.

The 2019 is a wine of its generation with its own personality, made up of a mixture of healing, sobriety and flexibility.

A dense and deep color, an aroma with a frame of ripe black fruit without excess like black cherry and a touch of liquorice that give it freshness.

Beschreibung

Château de Paloumey- Ludon Médoc –Bordeaux hat has its origins in the Gascony dialect and means „the place where the wood pigeons pass by“. In 1989, Martine Cazeneuve accepted the challenge of restoring the reputation of the château, it was an incredible challenge because there were no vines and no winery. After several years of intense and passionate work, planting new vines and building a winery, in 2003 they were rewarded with the promotion of their wines to the
category of Crus Bourgeois Supérieur.

This 35 hectares of vineyards in the south of the Haut-Médoc appellation is made up of 25 hectares of sand and pebbles and 10 hectares of old gravel and clay soil of the Garonne. In 2016, Pierre Cazeneuve, son of Martine, decided to start the organic conversion to offer you certified wines from the 2019 vintage for Château de Paloumey and 2021 for Ailes de Paloumey.
